History
In November, 1955, the laboratories were established in Tokyo and Osaka as an inspection division of “All-Japan Margarine Society (Foundation)”. In June, 1970, The inspection division parted from the All-Japan Margarine Society, and became independent as a foundation of “Japanese Margarine Inspection Society”. In December, 1972, the predecessor of current association renamed itself to “Japan Institute of Oils & Fats, Other Foods Inspection, Foundation” and began various inspection business for processed oils, fats and foods.

The Japan Association for Inspection and Investigation of Food Including Fats and Oils (JAIIF) began in 1955 when the All Japan Margarine Association opened two laboratories in Tokyo and Osaka. Over the past 65 years, your trust has helped us build our position today.
Since 2012, we have taken a new path as a public interest incorporated foundation, and has been conducting surveys, inspections, and research on the quality and safety of food and beverages and related goods with the aim of ensuring the sound development of the food industry and contributing to the promotion of public welfare.
We will continue to improve our analysis technology and further strengthen our quality assurance system with the keywords of "trust", "quality" and "safety" to meet the trust of our customers and the needs of the times.
